Data centers are rapidly becoming a major influencer of the facilities that are emerging in the energy industry. A big reason for this is that energy generation and technological innovation have become intertwined to such an extent that when technology continues to reach greater heights, so does the energy sector. This explains why FuelCell Energy decided to push forward with U.S. plans for hydrogen-based power solutions for data centers.
As seen in plenty of initiatives this year, data centers are among the facilities requiring the most electricity. As such, we have seen monumental companies like Meta investing in large-scale energy initiatives with the overall aim of producing electricity that can sustain them for many years.
The rapid growth of artificial intelligence and cloud computing is placing enormous pressure on global energy systems. Data centers are continuously expanding across the United States, making reliable power sources a strategic priority.
